Build History

  • 8/22/2018 – Purchased Model from  Ested Industries for $14.99 (retail=$14.99)
  • 11/16/2018 – Took pictures of package and components. Scanned, decals,  plans, rings and cover sheet. Measurements were placed on Page 38 of Model Rockets Notes Book #4.
  • 11/20/2018 – Scanned first page of plans and cut out shock cord mount. Meaxured motor mount tube at 1′ and 2-1/4″ from aft end and cut 1.8″ slot at 2-1/4″ mark. Inserted engine hook intro slot. Glued slotted green centering ring to aft end of motor mount tube. Glued other green centering ring over forward end of motor mount tube after lacing assembly into fin can. Glued launch lug to aft edge of body tube even with edge. Screwed eye screw into base of nose cone. Glued shock cord to its mount and then glued it 1-1/2″ from forward inside edge of body tube. Glued body tube to fin can so the launch lug is between fins. Tied loose end of shock cord to nose cone eye screw, securing it with a knot. Applied shelf-adhesive decals to model. This completes the Estes Alpha VI model #1958 model rocket kit.
