Single or 2-stage, the Savage can reach amazing heights up to 1,600 feet! Standing 31.8 inches tall, this rocket is impressive on the launch pad and in the sky! And being a beginner rocket just means more time for flying!

WHAT YOU NEED TO BUILD: Scissors, pencil, ruler, fine sandpaper, carpenter’s glue, plastic cement, hobby knife and masking tape. (Tools, construction and finishing supplies not included.)

WHAT YOU NEED TO LAUNCH (sold separately): Estes Porta-Pad II Launch Pad with a 1/8 inch launch rod and Electron Beam Launch Controller, Estes model rocket engines, starters and recovery wadding. Four 1.5V high quality AA alkaline batteries are also required for launch controller (not included).

Build History

  • 10/29/2019 – Received from Estes Industries.
  • 11/07/2019 – Took pictures of package.
  • 01/12/2020 – Took pictures of components and scanned them.
  • 01/13/2020 – From aft end, marked BT and cemented LL. Applied clear reinforcement decal over LL. Cemented main fin can together and placed fins into slots. Cemented booster fin can together and put fins into slots. Cemented mail fin can assembly into aft end of BT. Placed stager over aft end of upper stage. Copied the shock cord mount and cut it from the paper. Completed NC by cementing NC base into it. Glued end of shock cord to shock cord mount and then intro the forward end of the upper BT. Tied the other end of the shock cord to the Nose Cone. Applied self-adhesive decals to model. This completes the Estes model rocket #2437.
